Wristband Collection

Everyone must have a wristband to enter the Ball. Wristbands must be collected prior to joining the entry queue on the night. You can collect your wristband during the following times:

  • Friday 8th May, 4 PM – 8 PM
  • Saturday 9th May, 1 PM – 7 PM

Wristbands are available for collection at 4 Turl St, OX1 3DQ – home of the Lincoln Ball mural and just opposite Lincoln Library at the High Street-end (south) of Turl Street! (If you can’t find 4 Turl St, please ask for directions at the Lincoln Lodge). On the evening of the ball, you will be turned away at the front gates without a wristband, so please pick up your wristband during the above times.

To collect your wristband, you must bring the following:

  • Your ticket QR code (emailed to you at time of purchase and available through your OXEX account)
  • Photo ID matching the name on your ticket.

All guests must be 18 or over on the day of the Ball. If you can’t find your ticket confirmation email, you can login at https://bookoxex.com/Account/Login with the email address you used to buy your tickets.

Attendees are strongly encouraged to collect their own wristbands, and we will ask you to put the wristband on at collection. In special circumstances, you may collect wristbands on behalf of your guests, in which case it is your responsibility to ensure your guests receive them. We are unable to replace lost wristbands, and all must be fastened with their original toggle. Tied wristbands will not be accepted.

Black tie. This generally means full-length or cocktail dresses and black dinner suits with white shirts and bow ties. Comfortable shoes are strongly recommended as you’ll likely be on your feet and dancing for most of the night. Still, the dress code isn’t meant to be fully restrictive and we encourage glamourous outfits with room for self-expression. Cultural dress is appropriate

There will be a staffed cloakroom suitable for coats and small personal items located near the dining hall. Lost property will also be stored at the Lodge.

Balls are lavish, black-tie events thrown by individual colleges. Expect a night of unlimited food, drink, musical and non-musical entertainment (think tarot card reading and casino!), all set across Lincoln’s transformed college grounds.

At Lincoln, balls take place every two years. This means that if you are on a one-year master’s course that this is your only chance to attend a Lincoln Ball at the student price of £165 (compared to the current alumni price of £200).

Your ticket covers an entire night of unlimited food, drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic, with special ‘Heaven’ and ‘Las Vegas’ cocktails available), multiple live acts (DJ, student bands, tribute bands and our Headliner, Charlie Burg) and a fully transformed college. There will also be photographers throughout the entire night to capture each memory!

Lincoln Ball is open to all! This includes MCR, JCR, staffand others.

Yes! You’re welcome to bring up to 7 guests. It’s a great chance to share the experience with friends and to show off our wonderful grounds as the Boston Ivy begins to bloom.

That’s completely fine! Many people come on their own, and the Ball is designed for wandering and bumping into people as you move between quads and other college spaces throughout the night. It’s a very social, open atmosphere.

No worries! Please feel free to reach out to ball.president@lincoln.ox.ac.uk or @lincolncollegeball2026 on Instagram if you have any questions or concerns – we’d be more than happy to help
